1. Receive ticket from HR (EE) POC requesting the separation
a. These POCs are currently Brent Beavers, Hannah May, Stephanie Tucker
2. Login to M365 Admin center with SDHS ADM Credentials (sdhs_ctac) and password in PWState
a. Find user in Active users
b. Remove any licensing tied to the account
3. Login through ScreenConnect to SDHSDC2-LW
a. Use SDHS_ctac Credentials in PWState
b. Open OnPrem Active Directory
c. Find user and disable account
d. Open Properties of the user account in “Profile” tab, remove the logon script, and click local path to delete the Connect Path
e. Click on Member Of Tab and remove all distribution/security groups and leave only Domain Users
f. Apply the changes and click OK.
g. Find user again and move to file path: sdhumane.net -> Proposed -> Disabled Users
h. Open PowerShell on DC2 and run this command:
This will sync OnPrem AD with M365/Azure AD. (You must do it on the OnPrem AD)
4. Login to the Admin Google account (tied to Dedicated IT Support)
a. Search for the user and disable the account
5. Login to https://resources.sdhumane.org/
a. Click on Site Tools
b. In the new window, click on Users, Select all for user type, and search for the user; click on the pencil to edit
c. In user profile, change status to inactive and click Save
Once this is completed, email the POC and let them know it is done and then close the ticket
Protip: If the user is a management level or above, check with the POC to see if they want their mailbox converted to a shared mailbox or forwarded instead of disabling the account immediately
