Steps to Provision an OSI Employee Workstation
1. Join OSINET domain.
2. Rename computer (example: JDOE, if unavailable due to existing device name, use JOHNDOE)
3. Enable Administrator account.
4. Add domain user with Administrator access to device.
5. Log on as Administrator and change password to 2ndlevel!
6. Delete default user account created at first bootup so only Administrator and domain accounts exist.
a. Delete default user profile.
7. Unpin all default taskbar icons but File Explorer.
8. Install AVDefender 64-bit.
9. Install Firefox and pin to taskbar. Make default browser.
10. Install Office 365 after connecting user account through web browser.
11. Add the following ODBC Data Sources (System DSN tab in 32-bit version) in 32 & 64-bit versions:
a. Timecard
b. Tickler
c. HMBP
12. Open Outlook & connect to OSI employee account. Add Outlook to taskbar.
a. Add signature using example from Sent Items.
b. Turn on “Always check spelling before sending” in Mail under Option.
c. Change Office Theme to Dark Grey under Account section.
d. In Advanced under Options, check option to empty Deleted Items when exiting and under Other remove prompt to ask for confirmation before permanently deleting items.
13. Add Timecard shortcut to desktop (Example: S:\kjames\Databases\OSI Timecard).
a. Under Options > Client Settings > Default find/replace behavior, change to Start of field search.
b. Under Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Settings, change to Enable all macros.
i. Under ActiveX Settings, select Enable all controls without restrictions.
14. Install Cisco AnyConnect VPN & setup connection for anyconnect.occserv.com
15. Install Adobe Acrobat (ask Kaleb for Admin account login credentials to assign licenses via email).
16. Install ACT! & updates located on server at \\osi-fs-1\SoftwareInstall\ACT! v21 Premium
17. Change Theme to Windows 10.
