Steps:
Section titled “Steps:”LOA (Leave of Absence) How-To This is used when an employee at Nalu is going on a LOA. Per Jessica Donohoue (HR) employee going on LOA should not have access to their email while out but should be able to sign on to their company owned device.

Log into Microsoft365 (M365) under the nalu admin credentials we have listed in 1Password

Navigate to User > Active users & type the user you are looking for in the search box

Once you have found the user, select them, and click Mail

Then go down to Email Apps and click Manage email apps

In the Manage email apps screen, deselect Outlook on the web and Outlook desktop (MAPI)

Click Save changes

Once you see Mailbox email apps info updated, you will know it was successful
Note User should still be able to login to their company laptop but should not be able to access their Office Products or email. Turning off the two apps – OWA & MAPI allow the user to login to their computers, allow emails to flow, and OneDrive accounts to remain as is, but no allow the user to access email.
