PROCEDURE
Please follow these instructions to successfully onboard a new kpe employee. cIT will receive an onboarding request form from a client POC to initialize and authorize this process.
- Current authorized POCs: Congetta Gregg, Jessica Walker, or Rebbeca Castelloe
REQUIREMENTS
- 1Password > KP Environmental > M365 Admin Account
STEPS
- Login to the M365 portal using the kpe M365 Admin Account
- Check available licensing
- The Client is utilizing M365 Business Premium
- If there is no a license please contact the Procurement Team to get a license added to the tenant. Before moving forward with creating the new account.
- Under Users > Click Active users
- Click Add a user

- Put in all the required information for the user account provided on the onboarding form
- Frist Name\Last Name\Display Name
- UPN/Username Requirement: [first_intial][last_name]@ (UPN Standard)

Duplicate UPN Standard: [first_intial][middle_initial][last_name]@kpenironmental.com

Examples: jdoe@kpenironmental.com; jadoe@kpenironmental.com
- This should match what is listed in the field on the form “0365 Username”.
- Check all 3 boxes

Automatically create a password

Require the user to change their password when they first sign in

Send password in email upon completion (send to the POC who put in the ticket)

- Click Next
- License the users account with a M365 Business Premium license
- Once the account is licensed click Next
- Put in the required information for the account based on the onboarding form:

Job Title

Contact number
- Click Next, and review all the setting for the new user account, and verify all requirements are correct
- Once reviewed click Finish adding Check generate random password
- Add user to request groups
- IMPORTANT: The Bullphish cybersecurity group is now a Dynamic Group. User will be added to the Group within 24hrs. (Group applies to all Active Users with a Business Premium License)
- Head to https://admin.office.com to add the user to the Impersonation Protection plan

Click on Threat Policies

Click on Anti-Phishing

Click on the Office365 AntiPhish (Default)

Click on Edit Protection Settings

Click on Manage Sender(s)

Add the user to the list using full name and email address
- Work with POC(s) listed in the ticket to access the computer for New User setup
