All equipment dropped off at CIT Poway must have a ticket associated with it for tracking purposes.

Preferably with POC or VITM approval attached, along with item descriptions including: Quantity and device models.

If HDD’s or SSD’s need to be taken out of devices, please place them in the hard drive destruction queue. Please note that in the ticket.

If this is simply an E-waste drop off with no hard drives, the ticket can be closed in your name immediately after it has been updated with all correct information. Please add the VITM as the requestor.

If the devices need to undergo the Media Sanitization process, please assign the ticket to the Provisioning technician.

Once in the media sanitization queue, the device must have some kind of identifiable tag linking it back to the 1) The client or 2) The original e-waste ticket. Preferably the latter.

If the drives need destruction certification, please have the VITM open a ticket to request this process be completed for a client and in what capacity.
