Log into LogMeIn Central: secure.logmein.com Website and Credentials are in PWState
Select Add Computer once inside the Console
Generate a Link and Copy
Once Copied, Paste the link in the browser of the Desktop needing to be Controlled.
**Note: LogMeIn MUST be installed under the same profile user who is logging in to For Example: foundationmv\laura must be logged into the desktop as foundationmv\laura
If LogMEIn is already installed under another profile or was previously installed, you must uninstall, reboot and then reinstall the client as it installs under the users profile (C:\Users\laura\etc….)
After Pasting the link, agree to the installer
Download the File, and double click to install and follow the default prompts.
At the time of install, it will ask to name the PC.
This will show the displayed name of the PC inside the console so the user knows they’re accessing the correct computer. You can always change this later within the Console under Computers>Computer properties. For Example : Laura-PC
**Note: Make sure the download location is going under the logged in users profile (For Example C:\Users\Laura\etc..)
Once Installed on the Computer needing to be accesses, you will need to grant permissions to the user inside the LogMEIn Console
Go back to the LogMeIn Console and grant permissions to the user by selecting Users>Manage
You may Search for the user or scroll to find their email. Select their email to grant permissions
If the user hasn’t been created, you can do so by clicking Add Users
Once you’ve Selected the users email, scroll down to Group/Computer Permission Select - Specify the groups and computers the selected user can access Search for the Computer Name you just created (For Example: Laura-PC)
Once you’ve selected the computer Name. Scroll down and click save.
The user should then be able to launch the LogMeIn Client from their computer to remote in and see their Desktop to Remote In to.
