Any one adding/removing circuits for client needs to update Umbrella to keep client computers protected.


  1. Cisco Umbrella - DNS-layer security

  1. First activity (Plan or preparation)
  1. Second Activity (Do)
  • Project Engineer adds the network to Umbrella

  • In the MSP console, navigate to Customer Management and click View Dashboard. The Umbrella dashboard for that customer opens.

    -In the Add a New Network modal, give your new identity a meaningful Network Name. -Select an internet protocol. -Add the network’s IP address along with the subnet mask -Click Save

  1. Third Activity (Check) -From the Dashboard click on Active Networks -Verify that newly added site becomes active (This can take several hours to udpate)

  3. Where are the records stored?
