centrexIT conducts monthly security awareness training for all staff. The purpose of security awareness training is for several reasons, including (but not limited to):

• Cyber Liability Insurance
• Cyber insurance policies require us to conduct security awareness training. Insurance providers are now auditing our records to identify if we are in fact completing security awareness training.
• If we fail to demonstrate proper documentation that our team is trained, our policy can become void.
• Client Requirements
• Client requirements around working with service providers are increasing. As with insurance providers requiring them, clients are now asking for more evidence of our risk mitigation activities as an organization.
• Risk Mitigation
• While most of the team is technical in nature, reminders of what to look out for and what role we each play in combating information security breaches.

If you don’t complete training for the prior month, a message will be sent out letting you know. We are requesting that training missed get completed in the following month. In the event a training does not get completed, a follow-up message will be sent with a by-when date to you specifically.
