INCIDENT

The issue discussed in this KB relates to the application GUI for Cloudsync (including the taskbar icon) not appearing. In task manager you can see “Sync Tool (32bit)” running, however there is no taskbar icon or application interface that you can interact with. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help. This particular issue can be due to a broken install package linked to the org in the cloudsync portal. Thereby all new installations downloaded within that client will be broken unless replaced. The specified steps below will help to create a new installer.

REQUIREMENTS/CONTACTS

Vendor contact is Axcient (760-743-6649). They can facilitate support for all companies within the cloudsync portal.

STEPS TO RESOLVE

  1. Log into cloudsync.com and select the organization on the left hand side which you need to modify.
  2. Select Settings and then Branding.
  3. Modify all required fields to something new and save.
  4. Now when you select the username in the upper right corner while signed into the cloudsyncit.com website, when you select Download Apps the new installer will be a fresh copy.
