Adstra / Belardi Wong Millennium Install & RDP Shortcut Setup

WI granting access to Adstra’s PBA Millennium. This PBA is hosted on Adstra’s RDS Farm (RDS01, RDS02, RDS03). Specifically the PBA is installed on RDS03 but connections are Brokered via Adstra’s Active Directory


  • End-User is required to have an Adstra Domain User Account (alc.com)

  • End-User’s Active Directory User Account must be in the RDS Millennium Security Group

  • VPN connection:

  • Belardi Wong Users: Connected to Adstra VPN

  • Adstra: Connected to Adstra’s Cisco Anyconnect VPN or onsite network

  • 1Password > Domain\Service Accounts > Active Directory ALC


  1. Verify end-user is authorized to access Millennium:
  2. New User Onboarding Requests authorize access
  3. End-User’s direct Manager can approve
  4. Client POC can approve
  5. Send the following to the Adstra Millennium POC to ensure End-User has Millennium/SQL specific credentials (Reference KB00002035):
  • Subject: Millennium Access Requested for [FULL_NAME]

  • User Full Name

  • User’s Email Address

  • User’s Contact Number

  1. Login to Adstra DC
  2. Verify/Create required Adstra Domain User Account
  • Belardi Wong: Account should be under alc.com > Belardi Wong > Users

  • verify format is flast (eg jdoe)

  • Adstra: Account should be under alc.com > [Site Location] > Users

  • verify username format is flast (eg jdoe)

  1. Right-Click User Account > Properties
  2. Select Member Of tab
  3. Click Add
  4. In the “Enter the object name to select…” field type:
  5. RDS Millennium
  6. Click Check Names (verify it resolves)
  7. Click OK
  8. Click OK


  1. Open Powershell
  2. Run the following command:
  • Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta
  1. On the End-User’s computer:
  • Verify End-User is connected to the appropriate VPN (Review Requirements Section)

  • Open a web-browser and go to https://rds01.alc.com

  • Login with appropriate credentials, example

  • Username: alc_nt\jdoe

  • Password: ADSTRA_CREDENTIALS (Password reset may be required)



  1. User should now have the Millennium 10 Workgroup RemoteApp (if not, DC/RDS needs time to sync)


  1. Click on the Millennium 10 Workgroup (it will download an RDP shortcut)
  2. Edit the RDP shortcut via \Downloads


  1. Rename it to:
  • Millennium 10



  1. Move the shortcut to the End-User’s \Desktop


  1. Show End-User how to launch the Millennium 10 RDP shortcut from their \Desktop
  2. Login with appropriate credentials, example
  • Username: alc_nt\jdoe

  • Password: ADSTRA_CREDENTIALS

  • IMPORTANT: Belardi Wong users will have to select “Use another account”

  1. Once you login through RDP a Millennium login will pop-up
  • NOTE: Credentials are in 1Password > Software\APPs > Millennium 10 Login to test login, otherwise, the end-user users their credentials provided by the PBA Owner.




  • End-User has authorized to have access to Millennium PBA

  • Internal Adstra PBA POC was notified to coordinate Millennium specific credentials

  • End-User is in the appropriate Adstra AD User Container

  • End-User’s Adstra AD Account is in the RDS Millennium Security Group

  • End-User has access to https://rds01.alc.com

  • A \Desktop shortcut for Millennium 10 was created

  • End-User knows how to access Millennium 10 PBA
