To provide the steps to successfully create a project request and get it quoted to provide that quote to a client.


The project request will be submitted by the client vITM.

  1. None

The following will need to be completed by the individual making the request:

  1. Create project request by navigating to workspaces, Design Desk, project requests. Then click the + button in the upper right to add a new request.
  2. Fill out the request a. Select “Budgetary Request only” if budgetary number is needed vs. and actual quote b. Fill out all displayed fields with as much detail as possible c. Set proper Priority. Please note proper priority status will be determine Design Desk’s priority in creating a scope/quote. d. Set By When date under “requested delivery quote date.” Please Note: Design Desk will confirm and commit to a scope/quote delivery date based on having all the necessary information needed to produce the scope/quote. e. Select project template from drop down and hit “save and stay button.”
  3. Complete the remainder of the request based on the template selected. Be as specific and detailed as possible.
  4. Once the form is complete, save and stay and copy the project request number down to be used in the next step.
  5. Spin up the project request space in the “Client - Client Name” Microsoft teams space. a. Locate the MS Teams space. It should be named Client - Client Name. b. click three dots on the right and select add channel c. Fill out the details of the new channel
    • Channel Name - This will be the Year - Project Request Number - Title of the Project Request (Example 2023-PRJREQ000001-client-projectname)
    • Short description of the channel, generally a summary of the project request.
    • Privacy - Set to Standard unless otherwise indicated.
    • Check box to automatically show this channel in everyone’s channel list.

  1. Project request ticket generated.
  2. MS Teams “client - Client Name” teams sub channel created.
  3. Conversation started with Design Desk.
