CentrexIT New User Spec Form and User Setup Guide (Reference Only)

centrexIT user setups are requested through a form usually filled out by the hiring manager. It will also provide information about the computer to be provisioned or ordered, any equipment to be ordered, and Microsoft licenses to be added in addition to the default licensing.

The form will follow the general flow and information below:

M365 Licensing & Equipment:

***Service Desk - Please verify the licenses that are requested, clarify with Dylan Q or Mike H if there are any questions regarding licenses. If no available licenses exist, then reach out to request appropriate licenses be added to the centrexIT Microsoft 365 account.

 Please create the account and assign the new user to the appropriate email groups and sharepoint groups. Please reach out to hiring manager for specific group and access information.

*All centrexIT users will receive the following licenses by default:

  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium

  • Microsoft Teams Audio Conferencing with dial-out to USA/CAN All users should be added to the following groups and teams:

- All Users (Email group)

- Bullphish (M365 group)

- centrexIT Team one (MS Teams and Webex)

- Department specific groups, (IE vITM would be added to vITMs email group and centrexIT - IT Managers MS Teams space. If unsure of department groups, reach out to the hiring manager.)

***Service Desk Please create accounts in the additional follow systems:

  • Halo (All Users) - Notify Mike Hicks for Halo account creation.

  • OneLogin (All Users)

  • Duo (All Users)

  • Webex & assign DID # (All Users)

  • Add to webex groups - centrexIT Team One General, Department groups as needed. Verify with manager

For technical team members the following will also be needed. If unsure check with the hiring manager.

  • 1Password (Technical Team Members (vITMs, Service Desk, Projects, vCIOs, etc) - Notify Agustin for 1Password account creation and access

  • ncentral (Technical Team Members (vITMs, Service Desk, Projects, vCIOs, etc)

  • CJP (Service Desk Only)

Additional system:

  • ADT / Poway alarm system - If user needs alarm code and access to Poway office, please let Lei Lani know so she can add the user to ADT. If unsure, check with Lei Lani

*** Equipment, if a new computer has been requested, a request has been submitted to centrexIT Design Desk, please follow up with Design Desk for status and information. If repurposing of equipment was requested, contact the hiring manager for information on the equipment to be repurposed. Additionally, other equipment may be requested with the computer order. Please verify the email to ensure all items are ordered and shipped appropriately. These additional items may be shipped directly to the user, please verify with Design Desk and the hiring manager to ensure all items were taken care of!
